Frequently Asked Questions about Nect Sign
How Does the Signing Process Work?
To start the identification process, users simply scan the provided QR code or enter their mobile number to conveniently receive the link via SMS. They then proceed directly to the Nect Wallet dashboard, which serves as a central starting point. From here, they are automatically guided through the best and fastest process for them.
In the first step, users can calmly review the relevant document and then sign it electronically. Once this step is completed, the identification process immediately follows. After successful confirmation, all necessary steps are completed – fast, secure, and fully digital.
What types of signatures are there and what is the difference between an Advanced Electronic Signature (AES) and a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES)?
The FES is created using an electronic certificate that contains a private and a public key. This requires a one-time identification of the signing person, for example, via a PIN. This signature key uniquely assigns the signature to the signing person, and subsequent alteration of the signature is not possible.
The QES offers the highest level of security and meets the requirements for written form. It has all the characteristics of an FES and is also based on a qualified certificate. In the case of QES, this must be issued by a qualified signature creation device, a so-called Trust Service Provider (TSP). For a QES, an eIDAS-compliant identification of the signing person is first required.
