However, not all previously collected data will be transferred to our partner companies. For information regarding the individual data types, please refer to section III. 1., and for information regarding the recipients of your personal data, please refer to section V.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"note-box\">For some users, a redirection to our <strong>landing page<\/strong> (at the URL <a href=\"jump.nect.com\">jump.nect.com<\/a> or jump.nect.app) occurs before the identity verification starts. This landing page serves to transition the user from a website into our app (&#8220;Nect Wallet&#8221;). There, the user can enter their mobile phone number to receive an SMS from us with the link to the respective app store (where the &#8220;Nect Wallet&#8221; app is available for download) and\/or to open the app (&#8220;Universal Link&#8221;). The link can also be determined directly by scanning the QR code on the landing page. Certain procedures (e.g., qualified electronic signature) also involve processing the user&#8217;s email address. If a user agreement is concluded between the user and us during the identification process, the stored mobile phone number and\/or email address will be used as a means of communication for the duration of the contract (particularly in cases of detected fraud attempts using the user&#8217;s identity). The processing of communication data is based on the consent granted in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.      <\/p>\n<p class=\"sub-heading\"><strong>1. Use of Digital Optical Control of the Identification Document<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We process the personal data that we receive from our users as part of the operation of the &#8220;Nect Wallet&#8221; app or the performance of the optical check of ID documents. For this purpose, the user records, among other things, a video of their ID document and their face. The personal data processed by us in this context consists of  <\/p>\n<ul>\n  <li>\n    <p>First name(s) and last name,<\/p>\n  <\/li>\n  <li>\n    <p>Date of birth,<\/p>\n  <\/li>\n  <li>\n    <p>Place of birth,<\/p>\n  <\/li>\n  <li>\n    <p>Residential address,<\/p>\n  <\/li>\n  <li>\n    <p>an image\/video copy of the German national ID card or passport (front and back) with the information contained on the identification document,<\/p>\n  <\/li>\n  <li>\n    <p>an image\/video sequence of the user along with a measurement file (biometric data)<\/p>\n  <\/li>\n  <li>\n    <p>an audio sequence of the user along with a measurement file (biometric data)<\/p>\n  <\/li>\n  <li>\n    <p>Result of the evaluation of the information provided<\/p>\n  <\/li>\n  <li>\n    <p>an individual identification number assigned to the participant<\/p>\n  <\/li>\n  <li>\n    <p>an individual reference number assigned to the process &#8211; transaction number (UUID)<\/p>\n  <\/li>\n  <li>\n    <p>Masked IP address<\/p>\n  <\/li>\n  <li>\n    <p>Device identifier and other device data of the mobile device<\/p>\n  <\/li>\n  <li>\n    <p>in case of redirection by partners: source of the redirection (e.g., URL of the web portal) and, if applicable, a return destination (e.g., URL of the web portal)<\/p>\n  <\/li>\n  <li>\n    <p>for verification of the health insurance card (e.g., electronic health card \/ eGK): an image\/video copy of the card (front and back) with the data contained on the card, as well as regularly the card&#8217;s identification number (ICCSN) before the start of verification,<\/p>\n  <\/li>\n  <li>\n    <p>for verification of the driver&#8217;s license: an image\/video copy of the driver&#8217;s license (front and back) with the data contained on the driver&#8217;s license<\/p>\n  <\/li>\n  <li>\n    <p>for electronic signature: the document to be signed<\/p>\n  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>as well as other data comparable to the categories mentioned and serving the secure verification of identity.<\/p>\n<p>To fulfill the Know Your Customer (KYC) principle, we collect KYC-relevant data (e.g., residential address and place of residence) through manual input by the user during the further course of personal identification. The processing of KYC-relevant data follows based on the granted consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR. Beyond the granted consent, we process KYC-relevant data if it is necessary according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR to protect our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of third parties (e.g., insurance companies) and if your interests do not outweigh them. Our legitimate interest in using KYC-relevant data consists, for example, in being able to detect criminal or fraudulent activities against you or third parties, e.g., in the area of money laundering. The data query is limited to restricted and necessary information. Adequate protective measures are in place to limit any disproportionate and inappropriate consequences for the data subjects.        <\/p>\n<p class=\"sub-heading\"><strong>2. Use of the Online ID Function of the German National ID Card<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the case of identity verification via the online ID function of the German national ID card (eID), the same personal data listed under section III. 1. of our privacy notices will be processed &#8211; with the exception of the user&#8217;s audio\/video sequence (\u201cselfie\u201d) but including your biometric image and video data of the identification document.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7b8d5c9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"7b8d5c9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">IV. Purposes of Processing and Legal Bases<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c33fee4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c33fee4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Personal data is processed by us in accordance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) based on the following legal bases:<\/p>\n<p class=\"sub-heading\"><strong>1. Based on Your Consent (Article 6 para. 1 lit. a), 9 para. 2 lit. a) GDPR)  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Insofar as you are over 16 years old and have consented to certain processing of your personal data (e.g., the collection and processing of biometric data), the lawful processing of your personal data takes place on the basis of this consent.<\/p>\n<p>The Nect Ident procedure cannot be carried out without your biometric data. You can revoke any consent granted at any time without giving a reason with effect for the future. This also applies to declarations of consent that you gave us before the GDPR came into force, i.e., before May 25, 2018. Since the revocation of consent applies to the future, it does not affect the lawfulness of the processing up to the time of revocation. Please note that according to Section 13 of our Terms and Conditions, any revocation leads to a termination of the user agreement.    <\/p>\n<p>Your consent for data processing by partner service providers employed by us is required if they are not acting as processors within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sub-heading\"><strong>2. For the Fulfillment of a Contract (Article 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The processing of personal data takes place for the provision of the app&#8217;s functions. The above data categories are therefore collected and processed within the scope of contract fulfillment. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Exception<\/strong>: The processing of the user&#8217;s biometric data (e.g., photograph) is governed by section 1 (Consent).<\/p>\n<p>Insofar as we carry out verifications of health insurance cards for health insurance companies, the entry of the card identification number (ICCSN) is necessary before registration. We collect this as part of pre-contractual measures at the user&#8217;s request. <\/p>\n<p class=\"sub-heading\"><strong>3. Legal or Regulatory Requirements (Article 6 para. 1 lit. c) GDPR) or in the Public Interest (Article 6 para. 1 lit. e) GDPR)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, as a company, we are subject to legal obligations in individual cases (e.g., Money Laundering Act, Telecommunications Act, or tax laws). These include, among others, identity and age verification, fraud and money laundering prevention, the fulfillment of tax law control and reporting obligations, as well as the assessment and management of risks within the company. <\/p>\n<p>To ensure the identity of the person to be identified as an identification service provider, we are also legally obliged to ask certain security questions for our partner companies (trust service providers), such as age, ID number, or contract ID number. The legal basis arises from Article 24 paragraph 1 subparagraph 2 letter d sentence 1 of Regulation (EU) No. 910\/2014 (eIDAS Regulation) in conjunction with \u00a7\u00a7 11, 8 Trust Services Act (VDG). <\/p>\n<p class=\"sub-heading\"><strong>4. Within the Scope of Legitimate Interests (Article 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Beyond the actual fulfillment of the contract with you, we process your data if it is necessary to protect our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of third parties and if your interests do not outweigh them.<\/p>\n<p>Our legitimate interest in using your personal data consists, for example, in combating corruption or economic crime, and especially in being able to detect criminal or fraudulent activities against you or third parties, e.g., in the area of money laundering.
