This process is now possible for a further 25 million insured persons of the German statutory health insurance funds connected to BITMARCK using Nect&#8217;s Selfie-Ident procedure. All that is required is a recording of the ID document and facial recognition via a selfie video. In addition, BITMARCK uses Nect Selfie-Ident for identity verification as part of the eGK activation. For this purpose, the process is expanded to include a recording of the eGK to ensure that the person to be legitimized is actually the insured person.
