If a user wants to identify themselves to the Federal Employment Agency, Telekom, or Barmer, for example, they can use the Nect app. This is where the Robo-Ident technology comes in, verifying the user&#8217;s identity based on their physical ID document. After using the process once, their Nect ID is created in the app, providing them with a digital counterpart to their physical ID. Various digital ID projects for smartphones are currently underway in both the private sector and government agencies. Nect has now transitioned its pilot project, Nect ID, into live operation.     <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-890c08b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"890c08b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tNect&#8217;s innovative Selfie-Ident app has been used for activation processes since 2018, for example for registering in a customer portal or for age verification. The Selfie-Ident app uses the Robo-Ident technology developed specifically in Hamburg for this purpose. The process includes a video recording of an ID document as well as a selfie video. Nect&#8217;s biometric technology, which is used here, has already proven itself in over three million transactions. In an automated process supported by artificial intelligence, the document and the person from the selfie video are compared, and the authenticity of the recordings and the ID document is verified.    \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2e4ef44 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2e4ef44\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe process is completed after about two minutes and the identity is confirmed, for example to the health insurance provider. The customer receives immediate access, and at the same time, the ID document is digitized in the form of the Nect ID, making the Nect app a digital, multifunctional ID. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-eefcf92 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"eefcf92\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Nect Selfie-Ident app is already used up to 20,000 times a day. By expanding the Nect app, users can now confirm their identity to their health insurance provider, for example, and create their Nect ID at the same time. In the future, the user can regularly perform further activations with the same health insurance provider or another company simply by taking a new selfie video. This means that not only do users benefit from a further increase in user-friendliness, but also companies, which can offer their customers even easier access. For companies, the connection continues to be via the familiar Selfie-Ident interface.    \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3b336f5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3b336f5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDue to its proprietary biometric technology, Nect ID differs from comparable smartphone IDs in two significant ways, which use the smartphone&#8217;s Face ID or Touch ID to verify a digital, reusable identity.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9ff2d6b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9ff2d6b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tInstead of device authentication, as is common with Face ID and Touch ID, Nect always offers 1:1 person authentication, even on shared devices.
