And not just the world. Our identity is no longer confined to the \u201creal\u201d world but is also navigating digital spheres. As the growing possibilities of the online world, which now encompass not only shopping at your favorite clothing retailer but also buying shares from an online broker or conducting digital administrative procedures, increase, so do the security requirements. True to the motto: Trust is good, control is better. Thus, in addition to transactions, identities must also become digital. How this can look in practice is regulated not only by national laws but also, in Europe, by a regulation called eIDAS.
