In transactions between companies, not only the identity of the business partner but also their signing authority must be verified. In the Nect Wallet, both are now possible with Nect Business Ident through automated comparison with the commercial register. The dual verification with Nect Ident takes only a few minutes. The business partner identifies themselves in real time using an identity document and a selfie video. Following this, a fully automated comparison with the commercial register entry takes place in the background. After successful identification, the business partner’s personal digital ID is stored in the Nect Wallet. This digital ID can be reused for further identifications.
The Nect Wallet also integrates a solution for qualified electronic signatures with Nect Sign. Nect Sign offers another important feature for business transactions, as it enables multiple people to digitally sign a document with legal validity, among other things.
The Nect app has been used in activation processes since 2018. The technology developed and patented by Nect is certified as a trust service module (eIDAS) and complies not only with the regulatory requirements of the Trust Services Act (VDG) and the Trust Services Regulation (VDV) but also with the Telecommunications Act (TKG) and other requirements of regulated industries. The use of Nect technology is also recognized for official purposes.
Nect GmbH is a multi-award-winning IT company based in Hamburg. Founded in 2017 by Benny Bennet Jürgens and Carlo Ulbrich, Nect stands for the implementation of fully automated trust services with highly developed technology. The technology developed and patented by Nect was first deployed in 2018 in the form of Nect Ident, an AI-based online identification via app, at R+V Insurance. Meanwhile, other prominent companies, including ADAC, BARMER, and Telekom Deutschland, are part of the customer base. In addition to Nect Ident, the company offers Nect Sign, a solution for qualified electronic signatures (QES), as well as the Nect Wallet, which functions as a digital ID and enables reuse of the digital identity in just a few seconds.
Data security and data protection are at the core of Nect’s solutions. This is ensured both through the complete in-house development of software components and the use of data centers in Germany with exceptionally high security levels and the avoidance of cloud solutions.
