"Nect App" becomes "Nect Wallet"

New names for the app and Nect products make it easier to recognize their functions and strengthen the brand identity.

Over the past few months, the Hamburg-based company Nect has further expanded and differentiated its range of digital identification solutions. To ensure that customers and users can continue to immediately understand which functions to expect from the app and individual products, the provider has now renamed its solutions.

Nect founder and CEO Benny Bennet Jürgens explains this step: “The name change is intended to achieve a clear classification of the solutions and to strengthen the brand. For this reason, the company and brand name Nect is now part of every product name.”

The “Nect App” is therefore now the “Nect Wallet”. The fully automated online identification formerly known as “Selfie-Ident” or “Robo-Ident” is now called “Nect Ident”.

The Nect App becomes the Nect Wallet

Creating a universally valid ID Wallet for everyone – that is the goal of Nect GmbH. The Hamburg-based startup took the first step about a year ago with the introduction of the Nect ID, which enables the simple and even faster reuse of a digital identity once it has been stored.

In the future, the focus of product development will be on the further development of the wallet. Accordingly, the Nect App is now called Nect Wallet. This is where all processes and the digital identity are stored securely and accessible only to the identity holder. The term “Nect ID” will no longer be used, as the reusable digital identity function is an integral part of the Nect Wallet.

Nect Ident

Nect Ident replaces the name of the core product “Selfie-Ident” as well as the synonymously used name “Robo-Ident”. Nect Ident encompasses fully automated identification with all its functions. These include, among others, identification via selfie video, via the online ID function of the identity card (eID), or additional documents such as a driver’s license or electronic health card.
