Jiresch previously worked for almost ten years in management positions at Österreichische Post AG, where he, among other things, built up the Digital Services division. “Through AI technology, Robotic Process Automation has become one of the most important trends for large corporations in terms of digitalization. Nect addressed this process early on and will set new standards in Europe with its expertise in digital identity verification. I am very pleased to support Nect in market development in Austria,” says Jiresch
Carlo Ulbrich, Co-Founder and CSO of Nect GmbH, places great hope in the cooperation: “Michael Jiresch has a first-class network and a great understanding of innovative technology. Supported by our dedicated, competent employees in Germany, we have the best prerequisites to position Nect with relevant companies and contacts in Austria. Michael Jiresch’s experience in both the corporate world and the start-up universe can create forward-looking synergies.”
In Germany, Nect’s Selfie-Ident solution is already in use at numerous well-known companies and institutions, such as R+V Versicherung, Barmer, Telekom, and the Federal Employment Agency. Founded in 2017, the company has received multiple awards in recent years for its innovative and forward-looking solutions.
“In recent years, Nect technology has proven to be an equally secure and convincingly user-friendly method for online identification for health insurance companies, insurers, and the German state,” says Nect CEO Benny Bennet Jürgens. “Our goal is now to achieve this in Austria as well.”
The Nect Selfie-Ident is based on Nect’s patented Robo-Ident technology, which is certified as a trust service module
(eIDAS). Customers of these companies can identify themselves digitally with the Nect App anytime, anywhere, and without waiting times, requiring only an ID document and a smartphone. A scan of the ID document and facial recognition via selfie video ensure, among other things, that the person and the ID belong together. Various security checks, such as reading out holograms, have ensured that fraud attempts were 100 percent detected in the past, thus preventing fraud. The Nect solution is fundamentally compatible with ID documents from almost all countries worldwide.
