Telekom relies on Nect technology for online identification

Telekom Deutschland GmbH is now deploying Nect Selfie-Ident, Nect GmbH’s AI-based software solution for online identification, for the fast, uncomplicated, and secure identity verification of its customers, as the Hamburg-based technology company announced. Initially, the use of Nect technology is planned for German mobile customers.

Hamburg, December 16, 2020 With Telekom Deutschland, Nect GmbH wins over the big player in the German telecommunications industry. With the patent-pending Robo-Ident technology, Telekom customers can now reliably and data-protection-compliant legitimize themselves for a mobile phone contract. “We are very much looking forward to working with Telekom Deutschland,” says Benny Bennet Jürgens, CEO and founder of Nect GmbH. “With our solution, we can support the German telecommunications and mobile market leader in securely and quickly meeting the increasing demand for reliable online identification driven by ongoing digitalization.”

Nect Selfie-Ident is an AI-based online identification solution that allows users to legitimize themselves within minutes, simply by video recording an ID document. In combination with the final selfie video and patent-pending security technology running in the background, the user is legitimized equivalent to an on-site check. The technology, developed in-house by the Hamburg-based company, is quick and easy to implement into a company’s existing IT infrastructure. Thanks to the ad-hoc system, a live launch “overnight” is even possible.
