Nect provides eID-based identification procedures for the more than 80 health insurance companies within the BITMARCK community.

As part of a tender by the BITMARCK Group, Nect won the lot for the identification of electronic identities (eID) and will provide the eID procedure for the identification of insured persons from the more than 80 statutory health insurance companies within the BITMARCK community starting in 2025.

To provide a digital identity according to § 291 para. 8 SGB V, BITMARCK offers services in the telematics business segment to authorized health insurance companies and their insured persons. With the product bitIAM, BITMARCK bundles all legal requirements for Identity Access Management (IAM) in one system and makes it available to the participating health insurance companies. This also includes the use of the state eID procedure (online ID function). The eID procedure for identification will be provided by Nect in the future and made usable for the approximately 25 million insured persons of the statutory health insurance companies within the BITMARCK community.
