Nect certified according to eIDAS 2.0 and ISO 27001: EUDI Wallet ready

The certifications from datenschutz cert GmbH attest to the highest standards for the Nect platform and establish the legal foundation for automated customer onboarding, regulated identity verification, and future certification as an EUDI Wallet. The extension of existing eIDAS conformity enables Nect to serve highly regulated markets in a future-proof manner. The ISO certification represents a voluntary commitment.

Hamburg, July 22, 2026 | Trust Service Provider Nect has completed important compliance audits for its technical infrastructure and identification solutions in recent weeks. In addition to successful eIDAS certification as an identification service provider according to the ETSI TS 119 461 standard, Nect also received certification of its Information Security Management System according to the international standard ISO/IEC 27001. In practice, these certifications primarily ensure ongoing legal certainty and trust in the security of automated user onboarding, as well as targeted preparation for upcoming European wallet structures.

eIDAS certification establishes the foundation for the European Digital Identity (EUDI) and AMLR-compliant processes

The European Union has substantially revised the eIDAS Regulation and, with the ETSI TS 119 461 standard, has defined binding requirements for person identification across Europe for the first time. Although the requirements of the eIDAS revision will not take effect until mid-2027, Nect Ident has already received certification at the “extended” level, the highest level defined in the current ETSI TS 119 461 v2.1.1. This means that the provider’s identifications are a trust service under EU law and meet the same security level as, for example, government eID solutions. This conformity provides the regulatory basis for specific, legally compliant identification use cases and exceeds the certification status of many competitors.

With regard to the increasing adoption of qualified electronic signatures (QES) and the AMLR coming into force in 2027, these requirements are gaining further importance: Nect already meets the prerequisites that are becoming increasingly relevant for many regulated use cases, particularly in the banking and financial services environment. Furthermore, the certification makes the procedure suitable for the future European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet). In combination with other trust services, it enables the immediate reuse of verified data for subsequent processes such as the digital signing of contracts using qualified electronic signatures. Confirmation of this standard ensures that all data flows are processed under the strictest controls regarding integrity and confidentiality.
