Ruben Levy Benseft has many years of experience in the finance and fintech sector. He began his career in 2012 at a company within the BNP Paribas Group. During his subsequent professional roles at PayPal and Klarna, he was able to build high expertise in the field of payment systems. In 2017, Levy Benseft realized his desire to act entrepreneurially and co-founded the Spanish SaaS company Coinscrap with five other people, whose applications offer users solutions for optimizing their private finances. Since August, he has been working for Hamburg-based Nect GmbH as Country Manager in Spain.
“My goal is to make Nect the standard for digital identification procedures in Spain – both for banks and insurance companies, but also for public administration,” says Ruben Levy Benseft. “For me, it is a new challenge to establish a fast-growing German trust service provider in the Spanish market, where my extensive knowledge of the existing ecosystem will help me.”
Matthias Lukiewicz can look back on many years of international experience in the insurance industry and the IT sector. After 15 years at various insurance companies, the native Pole and Cologne resident by choice moved to the IT industry in 2009. In 2015, he was able to place a large software project with a German IT company at the largest Polish railway company. Since then, he has lived and worked in Poland. For Polish software houses, he managed clients in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Since September, Matthias Lukiewicz has been working for Nect GmbH as Country Manager Poland, based in Warsaw.
“Nect brings people and technical innovation together and is very successful in Germany. I want to achieve that in the Polish market as well,” says Matthias Lukiewicz. “As with any expansion into a new market, the most important goal is to establish a presence and win new customers. I am certain that I will succeed in this through my long-standing and comprehensive knowledge of the Polish market – naturally with support from my future colleagues in Poland.”
Benny Bennet Jürgens, Co-Founder and CEO of Nect GmbH: “Since Nect was founded in 2017, we have successfully established ourselves in the German market. Numerous well-known companies now use our solution, such as R+V Versicherung, Barmer, and Telekom. Now we are ready for the next logical step: expansion into other EU countries, where we have significant advantages with the eIDAS certification. With our two Country Managers, we have been able to recruit experienced employees who are firmly rooted in their respective markets and possess the entrepreneurial spirit that characterizes all Nect employees. Furthermore, we can support the two new employees from Hamburg through our experience regarding EU-wide relevant requirements and regulations.”
Nect Selfie-Ident is based on Nect’s patented Robo-Ident technology, which is certified as a trust service module (eIDAS). Customers of these companies can identify themselves digitally with the Nect app regardless of time and place and without waiting times, requiring only an ID document and a smartphone. A recording of the ID document and facial recognition via selfie video ensure, among other things, that the person and the ID belong together. Various security checks, such as reading the holograms, ensure that fraud attempts in the past were detected 100 percent of the time, thus preventing fraud. The Nect solution is fundamentally compatible with ID documents from almost every country in the world.
