With a special focus on financial services, crossbuilders supports companies as a so-called company builder in implementing innovative business ideas and, as a full-service provider, develops customized and modular IT solutions. The Nect Ident process was integrated into a disbursement portal developed by crossbuilders, which enables financial service providers to allow their customers to view information about their loan in real time and carry out key actions. Since January 2023, the portal has allowed Wüstenrot customers to view the current disbursement status of their loan, including all individual payments submitted digitally or on paper, as well as an overview of the required disbursement conditions and their status. In addition, customers can request disbursements, upload loan documents and photos of the construction project, and manage construction progress.
This self-service function gives customers an option to increase transparency, throughput speed, and processing efficiency across the loan lifecycle. This leads to a positive customer experience.
To ensure that only authorized customers have access to the disbursement portal, a one-time authentication is carried out as an additional security step, implemented with Nect Ident. Before a payment order can be created and submitted, customers must verify their identity using an ID document and a biometric video.
The disbursement portal enables loan officers to quickly and transparently get an overview of the status of the loan agreement and construction progress. They can also select predefined processing rules tailored to the respective loan and customer context. Standardizing and automating process logic increases back-office efficiency.
Benny Bennet Jürgens, CEO and founder of Nect GmbH: “The number of FinTechs and InsureTechs is steadily growing, and the financial sector is gradually opening up to innovative technologies. We will continue to work to drive this progress forward with our expertise and our network. Through our partnership with crossbuilders and our first joint customer, Wüstenrot Bausparkasse AG, we are taking an important step for security and innovation in the home financing sector.”
Simon Hüppe, Lead Manager Projects & Senior Venture Developer at crossbuilders: “The digitalization of the financial industry has gained importance in Germany in recent years, and traditional banks have also recognized that they need to adapt to the digital world. Despite this progress, however, there are still areas where the level of digitalization can be improved. One example is the digitalization of business processes and the introduction of automated processes and AI-based solutions to make workflows more efficient. We are pleased to drive this development forward together with Nect and to be able to offer our partners secure identification that is available at any time and easy to use.”
Nect GmbH was founded in 2017 by Benny Bennet Jürgens and Carlo Ulbrich and is one of the leading providers of digital, AI-based identification solutions in Germany.
All solutions are provided via the company’s own app, the Nect Wallet. In addition to Nect Ident, which includes identification via automated video identification, eID, ePass, and a reuse function, the company also offers Nect Sign, a solution for qualified electronic signatures (QES). The technology developed and patented by Nect is used, among others, by R+V Versicherung, ADAC, BARMER, and Telekom Deutschland.
Data security and data protection are a key focus of Nect’s solutions. This is ensured both by the complete in-house development of the software components and the use of data centers in Germany with an exceptionally high security level, as well as by not using cloud solutions.
