Nect receives gematik approval for using Nect Ident with ePass to create the HealthID
An important milestone for digital identity in Europe: Nect has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the successful introduction of the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet) together with the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDS) and the digital association Bitkom.
Gematik lists Nect Ident as the first procedure with technical security suitability for the healthcare telematics infrastructure
Nect has been officially approved by gematik GmbH for use in central digital healthcare applications, effective immediately. This makes Nect available for use by health insurance companies and insured persons. In the coming months, the creation of the Health ID for access to ePA, e-prescription, and other services such as the TI-Messenger will also be possible.
