Nect Co-Founder Carlo Ulbrich appointed to InsurLab Germany Board

At the digital trade fair insureNXT in Cologne, InsurLab Germany e.V. introduced two new board members at its ordinary general meeting. With Nect Co-Founder and CSO Carlo Ulbrich, a representative of a startup was elected to the board for the first time. InsurLab Germany is Germany’s largest industry initiative for networking insurance companies and InsurTech startups.

Nect ID: the digital ID for a digital Germany

The Hamburg-based IT company Nect, known for its AI-based Robo-Ident technology, is now deploying the Nect ID for various digital activation processes. If a user wants to identify themselves to the Federal Employment Agency, Telekom, or Barmer, for example, they can use the Nect app. This is where the Robo-Ident technology comes in, verifying the user’s identity based on their physical ID document. After using the process once, their Nect ID is created in the app, providing them with a digital counterpart to their physical ID. Various digital ID projects for smartphones are currently underway in both the private sector and government agencies. Nect has now transitioned its pilot project, Nect ID, into live operation.

Nect welcomes establishment of official criteria by BNetzA and BSI for providers of automated identity verification

Nect GmbH, a leading manufacturer of AI-based identification solutions in Europe, welcomes the introduction of official criteria for automated optical identity verification, which the Federal Network Agency has presented today in agreement with the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and after consulting the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

Robo-Ident technology impresses: Hamburg-based Nect GmbH on the rise in 2020

The Nect app, an innovative solution for digital identification, was the most successful identification app in Germany in the second half of 2020 based on downloads and average user ratings. This reflects the rapidly growing acceptance of the technology by companies such as insurance providers, health insurance funds, and telecommunications providers. In total, around 60 million end customers of these companies now have the opportunity to identify themselves online using the Nect app.

Telekom relies on Nect technology for online identification

Telekom Deutschland GmbH is now deploying Nect Selfie-Ident, Nect GmbH’s AI-based software solution for online identification, for the fast, uncomplicated, and secure identity verification of its customers, as the Hamburg-based technology company announced. Initially, the use of Nect technology is planned for German mobile customers.

Nect Ticket-Ident: Hamburg-based provider of AI-driven trust services offers solution for the event industry

Nect is expanding its product portfolio. With the new Ticket-Ident, the IT company enables trustworthy communication at online events and secure access to on-site events through identified eTickets. On November 3, 2020, the new solution from Nect GmbH went live for the first time. The partner is InsurLab Germany, which is using Ticket-Ident for registration for this year’s Accelerator Demo Day.
