Meet the founders
Benny Bennet Jürgens
Benny Bennet Jürgens, CEO and founder of Nect GmbH, began his career as an IT specialist in the insurance industry. After contributing to digitalization projects and being responsible for app development at a global insurance group, he founded his own company. His more than ten years of experience in large-scale IT projects helped him successfully overcome the challenges of remote identification in the insurance sector.
Carlo Ulbrich
Carlo Ulbrich, co-founder and CSO of Nect GmbH, brings over ten years of experience in B2B sales, sales controlling, and project management. As a former sales manager for a global project logistics company, he led an international team. With his background in logistics and a business administration degree, he focuses at Nect on building sustainable customer relationships, opening up new markets, and expanding the partner network.

Gematik lists Nect Ident as the first procedure with technical security suitability for the healthcare telematics infrastructure
Nect is now officially approved by the Gematik for use in central digital health applications. This makes Nect available to health insurance companies and insured persons for use. In the coming months, it will also be possible to create a health ID for access to the ePA, ePrescription and other services such as the TI-Messenger.

Nect Acquires AML Compliance Provider Acadias
Nect acquires Acadias, the provider of a fully automated platform for KYC and KYB checks, to expand its products with a significant component of anti-money laundering (AML) checks (GwG). Regarding the terms of the acquisition both parties have agreed to confidentiality agreed. The acquisition accelerates the mission to become Europe’s largest Trust Service Provider.

Nect secures seven-figure investment from Round2 Capital
Round2 Capital invests 2.5 million Euros in Nect through revenue-based financing, thereby supporting a leading provider of digital identity solutions. The financing supports Nect’s market expansion and secures its leading position in a new era and a new business model for the ID verification (IDV) industry.

Nect provides eID-based identification procedures for the more than 80 health insurance companies within the BITMARCK community.
As part of a tender by the BITMARCK Group, Nect won the lot for the identification of electronic identities (eID) and will provide the eID procedure for the identification of insured persons from the more than 80 statutory health insurance companies within the BITMARCK community starting in 2025.

Nect Wallet facilitates registration with the online tax office "Mein ELSTER"
Effective immediately, private individuals can register with the online tax office “Mein ELSTER” using Nect GmbH’s online identification solution. With its service, ELSTER enables citizens to efficiently and highly securely transmit all tax data as part of their annual tax declaration.
